Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Kin + Carta is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline Years:
2021 (Fiscal year 2022) for scope 1, 2 & 3.
Additional details relating to the baseline emissions calculations: Kin + Carta records carbon emissions on a fiscal rather than a calendar year. Our fiscal year ends on July 31st.
Baseline year emissions:
Emissions | Total (tCO2e) |
---|---|
Scope 1 | 68 |
Scope 2 | 124 |
Scope 3 - Included categories: purchased goods and services and business travel |
829 |
Total emissions | 1021 |
Current Emissions Reporting

We project that our UK and USA scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions will decrease to zero by FY 2027.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Carbon Reduction Initiatives
In the year, measures to reduce carbon included:
- Replacing core networking equipment with a sustainable cloud managed network
- Removing legacy IT infrastructure and migrating to the cloud
- Optimising cloud resource to avoid operating under-utilised infrastructure
In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:
- Improving corporate travel management
- Internal training and upskilling on how we can lower energy consumption
- Continuing IT infrastructure efficiencies
