Having been absent from the retail banking market for a number of years, ING’s Innovation Centre was looking for a new, outcome-led strategy to address a core customer segment: Millennials.

Identifying a gap in the market for young people to seamlessly manage their money across accounts, we set out to help ING seize the opportunity to engage this underserved customer set. The result is Yolt: an exciting new mobile application that helps young Europeans reclaim control of their financial future.
One smart view
Yolt connects all of a customer’s financial products, to give one view of your financial health. Using intelligent models the innovative product not only establishes key dates for users like payday, but also pre-empts upcoming direct debits to avoid things like rent money accidentally becoming beer money. Yolt is currently serving 36 million customers in over 40 countries, making managing money in our mobile-led, connected era a far smarter, easier experience.
